Southampton Port by car
Hovertravel operates ferries to Southampton.
When travelling from the west and approaching by car, exit the M27 at Junction 3 and drive along the M271 motorway until you join with the A3024 running to Southampton. The signs will lead you to the ferry departure point on Town Quay road. If travelling from the east, exit the M27 at Junction 7 and take the A334 and then the A3024 to Southampton. Again, you should follow the signs to the ferry terminal located on Town Quay road.
Southampton Port by bus
There are a number of transport companies providing regular bus services throughout the city and its surrounding areas including Portsmouth, the New Forest, Hedge End, Eastleigh, Fareham, Totton, Southsea, Romsey and Chandlers Ford.
Around the centre of Southampton, City Link operates a free shuttle bus, running between Southampton Central Station, West Quay Shopping Centre and Town Quay. Another free shuttle bus follows a route to the east and north, and to Southampton's city centre.
